Recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Italianate-style former textile mill has been transformed into a fabulous collection of art, shopping, and dining opportunities housed in one stunning historic building. We later travel a short distance for our nostalgic journey onboard the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway. Enjoy a unique view of Yorkshire's finest countryside on board magnificent Victorian and Edwardian steam engines and carriages before continuing to our hotel.
After breakfast, we travel via a drive through Otley, better known as the fictional village of 'Hotten' in ITV's Emmerdale, and head to Skipton for a fun and informative cruise on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Afterwards, we continue to Haworth, home of the Brontë sisters, before our journey home.
This impressive Gothic style Yorkshire mansion in the heart of Brontë country is set in landscaped gardens on the banks of the River Aire, with superb countryside views in every direction. All 103 bedrooms feature an HD TV, complimentary high-speed WiFi and many have superb views over the Yorkshire countryside and private grounds.
