We head across the English Channel by ferry, with an overnight stay in France this evening.
We continue our journey south, crossing the Spanish border and onto Lloret de Mar, a vibrant coastal town where we stay for the next two nights.
Enjoy a leisurely free day in Lloret de Mar, exploring golden beaches, sparkling Mediterranean waters and a lively promenade set the scene for relaxation or wander its charming old-town filled with home to shops and cafes.<br /><br />Alternatively, join us for an optional excursion to the charming coastal town of Tossa de Mar. Once a medieval fishing village, it now blends historic character with modern appeal. Enjoy free time to explore the fortified old town, stroll past the preserved walls and Watch Tower, browse craft shops and wine bodegas, and wander the romantic maze of narrow cobbled streets.<br />
We continue our journey to Benidorm for the next twenty-one nights.
Enjoy the beauty of Benidorm over the next three weeks. With a comfortable, mild climate, this much-loved resort is popular with those looking to escape the winter with a variety of traditional Spanish culture, vibrant nightlife and home comforts. We also enjoy the following excursions throughout our stay in Benidorm.<br /><br />Enjoy an afternoon excursion into the mountains to visit charming Guadalest. Founded by the Moors, you'll find a mix of medieval Spanish and Muslim architecture, now home to a collection of shops, cafes and bars.<br /><br />Experience visits to Elche, known for its beautiful palm trees and shoemaking tradition, and the thriving harbour town of Alicante.<br /><br />Our next excursions are to Denia, home to a thriving coastal port and marina, and Javea, a seaside town that boasts wide, sandy beaches.<br /><br />Welcome to Valencia, a tremendous cornucopia of Spanish sights, sounds and flavours. With heritage around every corner, why not step back in time through, the bustling Central Market and the might of the medieval Cathedral? <br /><br />Enjoy a half-day trip includes a visit to Villajoyosa, best known for its chocolate, where we include a visit to the Valor Chocolate Museum.<br /><br />Spend a delightful day discovering Murcia, where tradition and modern Mediterranean life blend beautifully. Stroll through its elegant squares, admire the stunning Baroque façade of the Cathedral, or explore its lively produce markets.
After breakfast, we depart Benidorm before enjoying a visit to Girona, home to medieval sight including the Forca Vella Roman fortress.
We continue our journey to our final overnight hotel.
Enjoy the final leg of our journey home before our return ferry across the English Channel.
