We travel to our overnight hotel in France.

Welcome to Italy! We continue our journey to our hotel in Montecatini Terme, one of Italy's largest spa towns. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink and settle in for a week of adventure.

There's plenty to explore on our included excursion to Florence today, one of Italy's most beautiful cities and the birthplace of the Renaissance. Highlights include the awe-inspiring Florence Cathedral, the Baptistery, the churches of Santa Maria Novella and the library of San Lorenzo, which holds a magnificent Michelangelo exhibition.

Enjoy a full-day excursion to Volterra, a dramatic hilltop town blessed with sweeping views across the Tuscan countryside. Its compact historic centre unfolds as a charming maze of narrow cobbled streets leading to the Piazza dei Priori - one of Tuscany's best-preserved medieval squares. Volterra flourished in the Middle Ages thanks to its alabaster production; examples of this delicate craftsmanship can be admired in churches and cathedrals throughout the region.

Step back in time with a visit to Siena, a beautifully preserved medieval city. Enjoy free time to explore its stunning architecture, art and traditions unchanged since the 12th century, including the Gothic cathedral and the world's oldest bank, Monte dei Paschi. We continue to San Gimignano, a UNESCO-listed hilltop town known for its honey-coloured buildings, rolling vineyards, and iconic medieval towers-the 'Manhattan of the Middle Ages'.

Explore Montecatini Terme in your own time today. Whether you're looking for a relaxing thermal spa, traditional Italian eateries or luxury shopping, this Tuscan town ticks all the boxes! Alternatively, why not join us for an optional excursion to sparkling Viareggio, Tuscany's largest beach resort? Known as the 'Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea', this charming destination offers the perfect blend of relaxation, culture and history. Stroll along endless stretches of golden sand or explore the lively seafront, lined with inviting shops, cafés, and seafood restaurants. A favourite retreat since Napoleonic times, it continues to captivate visitors with its timeless appeal.

A full day of sightseeing takes us to the unique cities of Lucca and Pisa. Lucca is one of Tuscany's most beloved cities, enclosed by magnificent and intact walls. Home to many churches, monuments and gardens, the area is just waiting to be explored. We also travel to Pisa, a lively, bustling city famous for its Leaning Tower, one of the most photographed sights in the world!

We retrace our footsteps back to our overnight hotel.

After an early start, we continue home.
