We travel to Harrogate for a great day of seasonal shopping and sightseeing with plenty of high-quality local products and festive treats on offer. As the popular spa town takes on a truly magical feeling, enjoy everything from Yorkshire cheeses and chutneys to handmade gifts and Christmas decorations only found in stunning North Yorkshire. After some free time, we continue to our hotel.
After a hearty breakfast, we travel to York. Stroll along the city's St Nicholas Fair and soak up the festive atmosphere as you discover fine Yorkshire produce from crafters and makers showcased at the Made in Yorkshire Yuletide Village. For more traditional Christmas gifts, including crafts and jewellery, head to the twinkling chalets on Parliament Street. Before we return home mid-afternoon, sample some of the local specialities and delicious treats, including hot chestnuts and warmed mulled wine.
