We travel to our overnight hotel in France.

Welcome to Italy! We continue our journey to Hotel Biondi in Montecatini Terme, one of the largest spa towns in Italy, for six nights. Upon our arrival, enjoy a welcome drink and settle in for a week of adventure.

A full day of sightseeing takes us to the unique cities of Lucca and Pisa. Lucca is one of Tuscany's most beloved cities, enclosed by magnificent and intact walls. Home to many churches, monuments and gardens, the area is just waiting to be explored. We will next travel to Pisa, a lively, bustling city on the Arno River famous for its Leaning Tower, one of the most photographed sights in the world!

Step back in time today with a visit to Siena, a complete and splendid medieval city. You'll have plenty of free time to admire this beautiful city's architecture, fabulous art treasures and traditions, which have remained unchanged since the twelfth century. Siena is also home to the Monte dei Paschi, the world's oldest bank, and a beautiful thirteenth-century Gothic cathedral.

There's plenty to explore on our included excursion to Florence today, one of Italy's most beautiful cities and the birthplace of the Renaissance. Highlights include the awe-inspiring Florence Cathedral, the Baptistery, the churches of Santa Maria Novella and the library of San Lorenzo, which holds a magnificent Michelangelo exhibition.

Explore Montecatini Terme, a famous spa town known for its 'healing' thermal waters, on your own time today. Whether you're looking for a relaxing thermal spa experience, exploring traditional Italian restaurants, or luxury brand shopping, this Tuscan town ticks all the boxes!

Alternatively, why not join us for an optional excursion into Rome? Labelled the 'Eternal City' by its ancient inhabitants, Rome is Italy's capital city and the birthplace of the Roman Empire. With an unparalleled history and legend in every direction, Rome is one of the world's finest cities; discover many impressive monuments and archaeological sites, including the Colosseum, St Peter's Square and Basilica, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum and Sistine Chapel (to name just a few)!
NB. This is a very long day excursion requiring an early start and late evening arrival back at the hotel, so dinner will not be included today for those inidividuals opting to book this.
After breakfast, join us in sparkling Viareggio, Tuscany's largest beach resort. Located on the Tyrrhenian Sea, shops, cafés, and seafood restaurants line the town's seafront, which has been a beloved resort since Napoleonic times.

We retrace our footsteps back to our overnight hotel.

After an early start, we continue home.
