Set against the backdrop of Edinburgh's imposing castle, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is the most iconic event in Edinburgh's social calendar.

After departures, we travel north, stopping at Gretna Green. The UK's most famous wedding destination is a quaint village with unique sites, including the Famous Blacksmiths Shop and the Scottish Food Hall. After some free time, we continue to our hotel.<br />
After breakfast today, we travel to Edinburgh late morning to explore 'Auld Reekie' and take in the world-famous Edinburgh Tattoo! Here, you'll have free time to explore Europe's most unique and memorable cities, home to narrow, cobbled passageways, fascinating museums and attractions galore. As dusk falls, it's time to don your tartan as we prepare for the highlight of this break - the sensational Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo, an unforgettable evening of music, ceremony, theatre, and dance!<br />
Beautifully situated on the banks of the River Tay, enjoy a free day in the 'Fair City' of Perth, formerly Scotland's capital for five centuries. What was once a picturesque playground for kings and queens is now a cosmopolitan gem, offering unique shopping experiences amidst a historic atmosphere.<br />
Today's full-day excursion first takes us via Lochearnhead and the Trossachs National Park to visit Callandar, the 'Gateway to the Highlands'. After some free time exploring this colouful, bustling town, we continue onto Stirling, a wee city with a big history, best known for its magnificent castle and connections with Scottish hero William Wallace.<br />
Enjoy a short photo opportunity at The Kelpies on our way back home. Created by artist Andy Scott, the works of art are modelled on real-life icons - Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron - they are the largest equine sculptures in the world!<br />
Situated in Perth centre, the award-winning Salutation Hotel is in a historic building and offers an elegant Adam Restaurant, Reid’s Bar and complimentary WiFi in all public areas. Guest rooms each have a TV and tea/coffee-making facilities.
