Founded during the First World War and opened by King George V, the Imperial War Museum, London, gives a voice to the extraordinary experiences of ordinary people involved in warfare. Displayed across six floors, the museum's vast collections encompass a wealth of objects - from uniforms to photographs, vehicles to films, weapons to works of art - each with a story to tell. After plenty of time, we continue to our hotel for dinner.
We visit Bletchley Park where you'll step into the shoes of the great Alan Turing and the Codebreakers to explore the iconic Bletchley campus, as portrayed in the Oscar-winning film 'The Imitation Game'. Learn how the war was shortened by two years through the efforts of these great men and women. After some free time, we return home to the East Midlands.
This modern Holiday Inn Express offers comfortable ensuite bedrooms with tea and coffee-making facilities in each room. After an exciting day in London, guests can relax at the onsite bar and lounge.
