Read more about our holiday brandsWe depart early and travel south to our ferry crossing, arriving in France before continuing to our overnight hotel.
We cross into Italy and continue to our overnight hotel in Tuscany, where dinner is included.
After a relaxed start, we travel to Castellammare di Stabia in the Bay of Naples, where we stay for six nights.
Our full-day excursion takes us to charming Sorrento, starting with a two-hour guided walking tour. As you walk through its lemon tree-lined streets, explore Sorrento's old-world traditions, elegant Baroque architecture, and fascinating history, blended with delightful small-town coastal life. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore; we recommend visiting its Marina Grande or trying some tempting local specialities such as pizza, seafood, gelato and limoncello.
We explore the Amalfi Coast by road and sea. A scenic drive reveals dramatic cliffs, deep gorges, vineyards and olive groves, with wonderful views including Positano's colourful hillside houses. In Amalfi, admire the medieval cathedral before boarding a boat cruise to Maiori, perfect for snapping photos of the spectacular coastline.
Enjoy a free day in Castellammare di Stabia, or join our optional excursion to magical Capri. You will travel by boat across the Bay of Naples to one of Italy's most glamorous islands. A guided minibus tour takes us to Anacapri, where there is time to stroll through cobbled streets, small squares and artisan shops. You can also explore Capri town, visit the Augustus Gardens, relax in a stylish 'Piazza' café or browse some fabulous shops and chic designer boutiques.
Visit the remarkable ruins of Pompeii, preserved for nearly 2,000 years beneath volcanic ash. Enjoy an expertly guided tour exploring the city's fascinating maze of streets, which are forever frozen in time by a volcanic eruption from nearby Mount Vesuvius. Afterwards, we continue past the still-active volcano to vibrant Naples, Southern Italy's cultural hub. Discover its UNESCO-listed historic centre, rich heritage, hidden catacombs and caves, and be sure to sample authentic Neapolitan pizza, famously invented here.
Spend today at leisure in Castellammare di Stabia, enjoying the seafront promenade, mountain views and cafés, or ride the cable car to Monte Faito for spectacular views. This evening, we celebrate with a farewell dinner, sparkling wine and live music at the hotel.
We leave the Amalfi Coast and travel north to Rome. On a guided walking tour, discover famous sights including the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon before continuing to our overnight hotel in Tuscany.
After breakfast, we travel to beautifully-preserved Sirimone on the shore of Lake Garda before continuing to our overnight hotel.
Our journey continues to our final overnight hotel in France.
We return home by ferry and road today.
