This morning, we travel to Bury, where we invite you to explore the award-winning market or visit the Transport Museum. In the afternoon, enjoy a nostalgic journey on the East Lancashire Steam Railway, complete with a traditional cream tea. The route winds through picturesque Lancashire countryside, offering sweeping rural views, charming villages, and glimpses of bustling Victorian towns set against a backdrop of historic cotton mills, before arriving at Rawtenstall. Here, your coach will be ready to take you on to your overnight hotel.
After breakfast, we visit Barton Grange Garden Centre for our cruise on the award-winning Kingfisher canal boat. Sit back and relax with a hot drink onboard as we pass through the delightful countryside, with sightings of local bird wildlife and views stretching towards the Bowland Fells. Afterwards, enjoy a little free time to explore the garden centre, where you’ll find a wide range of shopping opportunities, before we continue home.
