With comfort stops along the way, we travel to our popular hotel in Kamp Bornhofen, one of the most beautiful areas in Germany. A warm welcome awaits from our hosts on arrival, as we enjoy complimentary Schnapps! <br />
After breakfast, we visit the charming twin towns of Bernkastel-Kues; split by the River Moselle, the town is known as the heart of the Middle Moselle. Bernkastel-Kues is a quintessential medieval German town with many charming half-timbered houses from the Middle Ages and attractions like the historic market square, and the Landshut Castle ruins. <br />
Celebrate Christmas day at leisure in our excellent hotel, surrounded by friends old and new. After breakfast, rest and relax in the wellness centre, complete with a whirlpool, sauna and solarium, or explore the nearby Rhine River. Throughout the day, you can enjoy a traditional festive lunch and a candle-lit Christmas dinner followed by entertainment and dancing this evening. <br />
Avoid the Boxing Day 'mayhem' back home as we travel to the most romantic part of the Moselle Valley and the old town of Cochem. Made up of half-timbered houses, scurrying streets and medieval gates, under the steady watch of the romantic Reichsburg castle. Afterwards, we travel to Boppard for free time. Scenically located on a bend in the river, it is one of the Rhine's prettiest towns. Explore its charming half-timbered buildings, with snug wine taverns serving Riesling from grapes grown nearby, in some of the Rhine's steepest vineyards! <br />
Shortly after breakfast, we visit Rüdesheim for free time. Located in the Rhine River gorge, it is a picturesque winemaking town, most famous for its production of Asbach Brandy, that's been in production for over one hundred years. This afternoon, we take you to Wiesbaden for the remainder of the day. Planned to be a place of well-being, luxury and beauty, you can enjoy exploring the city's grand architecture from neo-classical to Art Nouveau. <br />
We wave goodbye to our wonderful German hosts and retrace our footsteps back home. <br />
Our hotel in Kamp-Bornhofen is a 3-minute walk from the River Rhine and offers a spa with sauna, hot tub and solarium, as well as a traditional restaurant with garden terrace and complimentary Wi-Fi. We have been working with the Wagner family now for many years, and each stay guarantees a wonderful experience, with generous hospitality and a home away from home experience.
