Today, we travel north, stopping in seasonal Skipton and a scenic drive through the Yorkshire Dales towards the Lake District. On arrival at our hotel, a welcome drink awaits us to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Hop on our coach for a winter wonderland circular tour of the Lake District National Park via Windermere to visit Ambleside and Keswick.
Merry Christmas to all! Enjoy Christmas Day in the comfort of our hotel today. After a leisurely breakfast, why not exchange gifts or enjoy a bracing stroll through the snow? Enjoy your traditional Christmas lunch before an afternoon to take in the King's Speech and later, a buffet dinner this evening.
We visit Bowness-on-Windermere, found on the shores of England's largest natural lake and enjoy the fantastic lakeside views on our included scenic boat cruise around the islands followed by free time.
We begin our homeward journey full of Christmas cheer.
Established in 1857, Stonecross Manor Hotel has since been extensively modernised and converted into the fine hotel that it is today. The hotel's new Woodland Bar and Kitchen offer quality Cumbrian and regional cuisine in a relaxed environment. The refurbished heated-indoor pool and poolside Spa with Steam Room and massage jets is available to guests. Each room has colour television, tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, direct dial telephone and writing desk. Free Wi-fi is also available.
